Update on my hubby

First let me thank all of you for your kind wishes, prayers and good thoughts

Bob had a long surgery.  They removed a tumor the size of a grapefruit from
his colon.  ( i think the surgeon said they could not get it all, but i have to talk
to him again tomorrow).  they also removed a tumor from his omentum, and
took a biopsy from a tumor on his liver.  they removed his appendix, and also
did a colostomy ( which possibly could be reversed with a future surgery)

the poor guy was a mess, the surgeon told me that they found a congenital
malformation of his whole gastro track, which he had from birth.  that caused
much extra surgical work.

i feel so horrible for him, but although you all know im not a religious person,
this situation is out of his control and only time and hopefully good medical
after care will determine his future health.  he will need radiation and maybe
chemo. ( and some good old fashioned luck)

my mom is about the same, they did not expect her to make it thru last night,
but she did.  hopefully tonight will pass quietly as well.

hugs to all in need and i will welcome any hugs you all send my way.

im going to say good night to my kitty now, he missed me all day.  then im going
to try and get some sleep

Sounds like you deserve some sleep ... hope you get it. Not a good situation at all for your hubby ... as you said, good medical care and luck will determine his future. Hope he gets both.

As for your mom, hope she can go peacefully in the night. Sometimes they keep fighting for whatever reason.

You have gone through a lot and I hope that all goes well from now on.
You can expect prayers from some of us and I hope that doesn't anger you.  We are all concerned for you and please keep in mind that you have to look after yourself as well.
Get a good sleep and hug your kitty and that will also help.

jacki...we only had the blown bowel and the colostomy to deal with...and you will get thru this as will your hubby...the rest does need to be put in the hands of teh doctors and medical staff and ..some higher power...i, too, will pray for healing for your hubby as well as comfort and peace for your mother...and am sending huge hugs for you --and your kitty!

thank you for the update. i know this is a serious matter and hold you close thru this-please do try to take care of yourself.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Jacki,

Life comes at us sometimes all at once and I sure am pulling for you, Bob and your Mom.  Hope you slept comfortably with you furry friend as I know how comforting they can be when we are going through major life changes. . .  please be sure to take care of yourself!

Prayers, postive thoughts and hugs, Laureen

Jacki, I'm sending you good thoughts and healing vibrations, along with a prayer for your hubby and you....there is a higher power that looks after us and I know you believe that.

Please take care of yourself.  I hope your Mom passes peacefully.
